Important Information & Grading Definitions

• First Class / Division Definition: Means a minimum of 60% marks for the annual system or a minimum CGPA of 2.5 out of 4.0 for the semester system.

• Second Class / Division Definition: Means a minimum of 50% marks for the annual system or a minimum CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.0 for the semester system.

• Third Division Restriction: No third division/class (marks less than 50% in annual or CGPA less than 2.00/4.00) in the entire academic career is allowed for any post.

• Academic Career Exceptions:

  • Only one second class/division across the entire academic history from matric onwards is allowed, except for the post of Junior Executive-I/Office Assistant-I (Admissions) which strictly permits two second divisions.

  • The final degree for any post must be a first-class division.

• Age Calculation: Age limits are strictly calculated based on the closing date of applications. Ex-Govt officials and ex-servicemen may be granted age relaxation as per Federal Government Rules.

• Application Limit: Applicants can apply for one post only, according to their specific eligibility.

Strict Ineligibility Criteria

An applicant will be automatically disqualified if they fall under any of the following parameters:

• Non-citizens of Pakistan.

• Dual nationality holders.

• Ex-employees of National Command Authority (NCA) organizations who resigned from service.

• Persons dismissed or removed from government service due to disciplinary proceedings.

• Persons convicted by a court of competent jurisdiction and NRO beneficiaries.

Terms & General Instructions

1. Screening Rights: Meeting baseline eligibility does not guarantee a shortlist for a practical test or interview. If application volumes are massive, only the most suitable profiles will be filtered for testing.

2. Rejections: Late or incomplete application packs, or packages missing attested copies of complete academic transcripts and experience certificates, will be rejected instantly.

3. Institutional Rights: IST reserves the absolute right to cancel, postpone, or alter the vacant seat numbers for any or all posts at any stage without providing a reason.

4. Government Employees: Serving employees of Government, Semi-Government, or Autonomous organizations must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their respective departments. Regular government workers will not be taken on deputation/EOL and must submit a formal resignation upon selection.

5. No TA/DA: No travel or daily allowances will be provided for practical tests or interviews.
