The Government of the Punjab Agriculture Department invites applications from eligible candidates domiciled in Punjab for contract-based recruitment under the World Bank-financed Punjab Resilient and Inclusive Agriculture Transformation (PRIAT) Project (2022-23 to 2026-27) under the Directorate General Agriculture (Water Management), Punjab.

Job Overview:

  • Position: Accountant

  • Project Pay Scale: PPS-07

  • No. of Posts: 09

  • Location: Punjab, Pakistan

  • Salary: Rs. 125,000 per month (with annual increment)

  • Job Nature: Temporary, contract-based (Initial contract appointment up to 30.06.2027)

  • Application Deadline: 30.06.2026

Eligibility & Criteria

Age Limit:

  • Maximum up to 40 Years (Relaxation in upper age limit is not admissible).

Required Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (B.Com) / Accounting & Finance or equivalent with a minimum 2nd division.

  • Proven post-qualification experience of 5 years in post-related tasks within the field of Accounts.

  • Experience establishing and maintaining project records, working with external auditors, preparing annual budgets, and keeping expenditure records.

  • Familiarity with preparing/maintaining financial records, purchasing consumable items or furniture/fixtures and their maintenance, and processing utility bills for approval.

  • Ability to follow up with concerned offices on account-related matters and handle tasks assigned by higher authorities.

Important Conditions

  • Quota: No posts fall under the quota reserved for Women, Minorities, and Disabled persons.

  • Ineligibility: Retired Government servants are not eligible to apply.

  • Equivalence: For degrees other than those mentioned, candidates must provide an equivalence certificate issued by the HEC/Competent Forum.

  • Regularization: These contract appointments are non-transferable, job-specific, non-pensionable, and do not confer any right to pay protection or regularization.

  • TA/DA: No TA/DA will be paid for the test or interview.
