Editorial Policy
How we source, verify, update and remove what you read here
A job portal is only worth visiting if what it publishes can be trusted. This page sets out exactly how TalashPortal decides what goes on the site, what happens to a listing once its deadline passes, who writes our guides, and what to do when we get something wrong. If you ever find the site behaving differently from what is described here, please tell us — that is a bug, not a detail.
Where job listings come from
Every vacancy we publish traces back to an announcement the employer made themselves: a notice on a department or company website, an advertisement issued by a public service commission such as the FPSC, PPSC, KPPSC or BPSC, an official gazette notification, or a newspaper advertisement placed by the hiring organisation.
We do not republish listings from other job boards or aggregators. If we cannot trace a vacancy back to the employer, it does not get published — however plausible it looks.
What we check before publishing
- The employer is real and is actually hiring. The announcement has to exist on the employer's own channel.
- The application route is the employer's. The Apply button on every listing goes to the official portal, careers page, or the exact submission method named in the advertisement — never to another job site, and never through us.
- The essentials are present: the post, who is hiring, where it is based, the eligibility criteria, and the closing date. A listing missing these is held back rather than published half-complete.
- Nothing is invented. Where the advertisement is silent on a detail — a salary band, an age limit, a quota — we leave that section out instead of filling it with a guess.
Deadlines and expired listings
Closing dates are checked daily and automatically. The moment a deadline passes, the listing is marked Expired, it stops appearing in search results and category pages on this site, and a red notice appears at the top of the page telling you not to apply.
The page itself stays reachable for a while, because people arrive at old listings from WhatsApp messages and search results, and a dead end helps nobody — the expired page tells you plainly what happened and links to current openings. After about a month we also ask search engines to stop showing it, so it cannot keep appearing in results as though it were live.
Corrections and removals
If a listing turns out to be inaccurate, unverifiable, or was never genuine, we correct it or retire it outright. A retired page is permanently withdrawn — its address stops working and is removed from our sitemap, so it drops out of search results rather than lingering.
Employers may ask us to correct or remove their listing at any time, and so may any reader who spots an error. Use the contact form with the listing's address, and we will respond within 48 hours.
How our guides are written
Our guides — exam preparation, pay scales, required documents, scam awareness — are written by a person, for this site. Each one carries the author's name, the date it was published, and the date it was last updated, so you can see how current it is.
Rules, fee structures, test patterns and pay scales change. When they do we update the guide and change the date rather than leaving stale advice in place. Where a guide describes an official procedure, it links to the official source so you can confirm it yourself rather than taking our word for it.
Independence and advertising
- No paid placements. No employer can pay to have a listing published, featured, or ranked higher. Nothing on this site is sponsored content.
- No fees from job seekers, ever. We do not charge for listings, applications, alerts, or test preparation.
- Advertising is kept separate. The site is funded by display advertising. Advertisers have no say in what we publish or how it is written, and ad slots are labelled and visually separated from editorial content.
- We are not affiliated with any government body, ministry, commission, or hiring authority, and we never present ourselves as one.
What we do not do
We do not forward CVs, arrange interviews, guarantee shortlisting, or act as an agent for any employer. Your application always goes through the employer's own channel. Anyone claiming to offer a job through TalashPortal in exchange for money is not connected to us.
No genuine employer asks for money for a job, an interview, a test slot, or an appointment letter. If a listing on this site leads anywhere that does, report it to us and we will take it down.
Who is responsible
TalashPortal is a small team, and editorial decisions rest with us rather than with anyone who advertises on the site. You can read who we are on the About page, and reach a real person through the contact form. Every message is read.
This policy is reviewed whenever our process changes.
